[Scene 1]
Farnsworth announces the crew that he invevented something new.
Farnsworth: Great news everyone! I've invented a time machine!
Farnsworth shows everyone the device and then speaks to Fry.
Farnsworth: Since you are my only living relative, you get first choice on where you want to go.
Fry: Well, I've always wanted to go back to see the beginning of the 21st century.
Leela: Didn't you see that celebration before you were frozen?
Fry: No. I was frozen a few minutes before midnight.
The crew gets into the machine(the size of a car) and Fry sets the controls to December 30,1999 12:00p.m. and pushes the Start button. As the machine goes further back in time, the two alien attacks are shown in reverse.
The trip is finished and the crew gets out of the machine.
Fry: I feel like I'm home.
Leela: So this is old New York. No pneumatic tubes, no flying cars, and no strange-looking buildings.
[Scene 2]
The crew has arrived in Times Square.
Fry: This is where the celebration is supposed to begin. See that giant ball atop the center building? In approximately 36 hours, that ball will be lowered down that flagpole and that will signat the beginning of a new millennium.
Later, after the crew has checked into a fine hotel.
Bender: You want to go out for pizza tonight?
Leela: Yeah. Lets go to the pizza place where Fry used to work.
Fry: No. The risk are too high. First of all, my past self might notice me and might not make that important delivery tomorrow night. I'm willing to go out for pizza, but just at another place.
Leela: Okay.
The crew goes to a pizza place and later in the night, they return to th the hotel.
