Once upon a time, New Year's Eve, '99
That's when our story starts to unfold
Deliv'ry boy named Fry, whose life was one big sigh
His bad luck was out of control
He wanted change though, little did he know
His fate would soon change drastically
Frozen in his time, 'til 2999
And awoke to a strange new destiny

First he met a girl, Leela was her name
A beautiful cyclops alien
Then he met Bender, corrupt, but a true friend
And Fry's a deliv'ry boy again
Flying through space, for Planet Express
With those friends and many more
Adventures every day, getting out of a mess
Suicide missions weren't what he bargained for

Going to the moon, alien planets
Run into trouble again and again
More deliveries, vacationing, but then
Run into Zapp Brannigan
Crazy adventures, every single day
But, somehow, they stick together
It doesn't matter what happens to them now--
Fry's got his friends forever

My story's done for now, but you should know by now
The real story's just begun
Lots of adventures to come, some action, some romance
But always with lots of fun
My story's moral is, as long as you've got friends
You can always get through thick and thin
That's what Fry has learned, and that's how he
Gets by in the year 3000
